This might be the most soothing image of fall colors in southern Colorado I have ever been able to capture on camera. Most often is the case that the direct sunlight is harsh and dynamic and leads to hot spots and too dark of shadows but tonight wasn’t the case. With such dynamic cloud clover in all the right places, the sun was able to reflect off the underside of the clouds and illuminate the foreground perfectly, while at the same time touch the uppermost peak of Mt Sneffles. This is an image I can just star and wonder for hours. Enjoy it.
