Blue on Black

The last minutes of daylight are often crucial to capturing a scene as I see it in my head. I have been to Cannon Beach a handful of times, but this was the first where I have seen the sun. It’s usually drizzly and cloud covered so having this opportunity with an almost cloudless sky was mesmerizing. To make things even better, where wasn’t many people as it was the beginning of November and most beach goers were long gone. I had the famous haystack all to myself and the setting sun. The lower on the horizon the sun went, the more vibrant the colors popped, and I made sure to make the sun the focus as it was such a rarity for me to see it here. I really enjoyed chasing the sunburst and all while running backwards every few seconds as the waves constantly tried to soak my feet.
