Description
I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with a nice dusting of snow since my very first visit to the park almost 30 years ago. I usually visit in the spring and fall when its hot and dry, although still beautiful, it just wasn’t what I was after. I visited one time in the heart of winter, only too find there was too much snow, and the waterfall was frozen. Ugh. I decided on a cloudy day just after the first snow of the season. So here we are, a light dusting of white powder on the soft oranges and yellows of the canyon walls. I am estatic. The scene is exactly what I had been yearning for.
