Sound of Silence

On foggy days in Alaska, bears can be anywhere. Often they spend most of the day tucked away in their day beds, but once in a while you can find one searching the shoreline for food. This bear was skillfully and silently combing the lake edge looking for any movement underwater. Sockeye salmon will sometimes swim very close to shore as they follow the chemical queues which they use to find their river of birth when it comes time for them to spawn. Sometime tho, they get lost. On this particular morning the water was like glass and this bear had a very easy time finding any sockeye whom got lost, but before that happened, I got to enjoy a peaceful few minutes with this bear without even the sounds of a breeze.
