Grand Canyon Clouds

After 5 visits to the Grand Canyon over a series of months, I finally got lucky. What I mean by this is skies. For whatever reason every time I was able to visit, I just had bluebird boring skies… not what I was after. I was really hoping for clouds, storms, etc. Anything more interesting than bluebird skies here. Finally it happened. I had Rain, Graupel, then Hail and Sleet and finally need with the slightest dusting of Snow. All this within a matter of a few hours on a late February evening. When the craziness subsided, that’s when the light foggy clouds took over and danced their way among the canyon walls. They moved so fluidly as they entered and exited my camera view. Every second captured was so uniquely different. This just happens to be the image I settled on as it represents the feeling of the day best to me.
