Light Balance is about chasing after the last sunlight. The sun began setting behind The Watchtowers, part of the Cirque of Towers in Wyomings Wind River Range, when in front of me, an eerie shade of cool swept slowly across the landscape.  From right to left, the sunlight began to fade, so I ran ahead of the moving shadow and positioned myself in the middle of a creek to see what, if any, exposure I could capture. As The Watchtowers began to block the sunlight, a brilliant star formed. The landscape now had a distinctive separation of warm and cool, divided by a star. I have never experience anything like this before, and doubt I will again, which us what makes this image so special.
