Lonesome
Sunrise at Lonesome Lake is a thing of beauty. A beautiful lake deep in the Wind River Mountains, makes a magnificent foreground for the granite steeples of the Cirque of Towers. With such beauty everywhere, it’s hard to feel the name fits the location; lonesome. I personally had a wonderful time this morning and never once felt lonesome. The air was clear, the only sounds were the soft singing of song birds, the sunrise was everything I had hoped for and to top it all off, the fishing was fantastic. The Peaks with Alpenglow (from left to right) War Bonnet, Warrier Peak(s), Pylon, the Watchtower(s), Block Tower, Sharks nose and Pingora.
