Tiger Stripes
Walking the ridge line of sand dunes is typically the most efficient was of covering the most ground. It was near sunset of a late February day and I was hiking in the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado when I started to notice some deep shadows forming. I stopped briefly and looked at my feet. The wet weather from earlier in the day mixed with wind gusts formed the stripes below me. The now hard contrast created by the sun made for such an interesting composition, I just had to compose a shot.
