Miles deep in the Wind River Mountains are the Warrior Peaks. One of the highlights of the infamous Cirque of Towers, these steep granit cliffs rise up sharply from the landscape. A small creek flowing from a hidden lake makes it way down the mountain side lining up with the core of the Milky Way perfectly. It was around midnight when I work up in my tent and figured I’d go take a peek at the stars. I could see the milky way starting to rise, so I grabbed my camera gear and the rest is history. The image took a few tries to get all elements lined up and in focus, but the outcome is excellent.
